Alexander Barsegian Jr.

Alexander Barsegian Jr., 66, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at his home.   Born November 2, 1953 to Alexander and Norma Jean (Henderson) Barsegian Sr., in Detroit, MI, he was raised there. Al enjoyed a long career in construction. On September 9, 2001, he married Laura Thuss in Harrisville, where he has been a longtime resident. Al was an avid hunter and an excellent fisherman, but most of all he enjoyed time with his grandchildren.   He is survived by his wife, Laura, five children, Alexander Michael Barsegain, Dawn Marie Barsegian, Kristie (Paul) Truman, Candace Thuss, and Nicole (Albert) Slaughter, several grandchildren, including Halie and Brayden Truman, Reginald and Kayla Rambus, Olivia and Lily Slaughter, Alexis, Ashlynn, Nichole, Amanda, and Justin, four great grandchildren, Shaya, Brenden, Arianna, and Valentino, two brothers, Preston and Tom Barsegian, three sisters, Sheila Barsegian, Sandy Odom, and Johnny Barsegian, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Mike Barsegian and his sister Susan Collins.   Mr. Barsegian is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Rev. Tim Steiner will officiate. Burial will be in Springport Cemetery in the spring.
