James S. Fradl

James S. Fradl, 79, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Medilodge of Hillman. Born April 13, 1938 to George and Theresa Fradl in Detroit, MI, he was raised there. On April 25, 1959, he married Anna Russo in Detroit. James served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. He was honorably discharged in 1962. He worked as a butcher at the Eastern Market for 30 years. He owned and operated a transportation company for handicapped people for many years. He was a resident of Greenbush for nearly 30 years before moving to Harrisville. James enjoyed winters in Arizona where he served as a sub-deacon at his church there. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Gaylord. He enjoyed wood working. James is survived by his wife, Anna, four daughters, (three of whom followed his lead, and entered the Service), Kathleen (Dennis) Stone, Cynthia Fradl, Lisa (Jim) Coddington, and Laura Fradl, seven grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Sullivan, Kyla Stone, Nicole Sears, and Carrie, Michael, Steven and Jeanette Kymes, and six great grandchildren, Alexis, Daijah, Emaurie, Jasmine, and Madelyn. He was preceded in death by his brother George Fradl. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
