Roger W. Bouchard

Roger W. Bouchard, 73, of Black River, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home. Born October 30, 1943, to Lawrence and Maxine (Somers) Bouchard in Bay City, he was raised in Black River. On September 10, 1966, he married Rosemary Gauthier in Black River. They were residents of Otisville. Roger worked for General Motors, and retired in 1988. In 1994 they returned to Black River. He was a member of the Ossineke Eagles Aerie 3762. Roger loved to garden, and spend time in his woods. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and darts, as well as hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, four children, Gary Richard Bouchard of Davison, MI; Brian David (Holly) Bouchard of Flint, MI; Jamie Lee (Michelle) Bouchard of Black River; and Alissa Suzanne (Steve Vette) Bouchard of Greenbush, 8 grandchildren, Jessica; Liberty; Brian James; Karley; Kennedy; Jordan; Troy; and Lauren, two great grandchildren, Quinten and Remington, one sister, Beverly (Vaughn) Pearson, and three brothers, Richard (Phyllis) Bouchard; James (Janine) Bouchard; and Patrick Bouchard, as well as 12 nieces and nephews. Mr. Bouchard is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Memorial Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore.
