Carolyn L. Snyder

Carolyn Lois Snyder, 82 of Lincoln (Lost Lake Woods Club) died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Country House Assisted Living in Ossineke. She was born on September 21, 1934 to Willard and Ella (Wilson) Crain in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where she was raised. Carolyn married Gordon F. Snyder on October 11, 1958 in Angola, Indiana. They resided in Northville until moving to Lost Lake Woods in 1995. She became a registered nurse in 1958 and was employed in health care for many years. She was a member of Spruce Presbyterian Church, a member of the Lincoln Chapter 184 Order of Eastern Star and life a member of Lost Lake Woods Club. She was an avid golfer, loved reading and gardening. Carolyn is survived by her husband Gordon F., two sons, Lt. Colonel David Gordon (Isabel) Snyder of Washington Twp., Michigan and Kevin Scott (Lynne) Snyder of Boynton Beach, Florida, one daughter, Natalie Cheryl (Greg) Laskowski of Ossineke; Five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mettert, Scott Mettert, Kylie Snyder, MacKenzie Snyder and Maire Snyder; one sister Beverly Jean Sellars of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan and a brother in law Willard Stover of, Lincoln. She was preceded in death by a sister Maureen Stover and brother in law Dr. Harry Sellars. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. No services are planned.
