Wilbur E. Forsythe

Wilbur E. Forsythe, 83, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home. Born February 4, 1934 to Howard and Bertha (Procunier) Forsythe in Harrisville, MI, he was a lifelong resident of the area. On January 17, 1953, he married Marjorie London in Kilmaster. Wilbur was a farmer and a painter, and worked at the Alcona County Road Commission for over 40 years. He had a passion for the outdoors, and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, six children, Marlene (Stu) Forsythe; Gerald (Shelia) Forsythe; Edna (Dennis) Taylor; Nancy (John) Jagelewski; Peter Forsythe; and Karen (Jeff) Sutton, 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, two sisters, Evelyn (Doug) Tosh and Donna Senter, and two brothers, Roddy (Sheron) Forsythe and Paul (Brenda) Forsythe. Mr. Forsythe is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Martha Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery.
