John "Jack" F. Carne

John F. “Jack” Carne, 88, of Greenbush, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Born January 28, 1928 to Peter and Cecelia (Beauchamp) Carne in Hancock, MI, he was raised in Highland Park. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. On June 25, 1965, he married Joyce Hayward in Ferndale, where they resided for 20 years. Jack worked as a service technician for Hobart Food Equipment, and retired in 1986. In 1989, he moved to Greenbush. Jack loved working on cars, especially Jeeps, and enjoyed hunting. Jack is survived by his wife, Joyce, nine children, Michelle (Paul) Dank; Jacquelyn (Keith) Toms; John Carne; David Edwards; Kimberly (Tom) Burry; Barbara (Peter) Nasto; Laura (Ronald) Carne; Richard Carne; and Dwight (Kathrine) Carne, 14 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, his sister, Shirley Carne, and his sister-in-law, Wanda Kaminski. There will be a graveside service in the spring, at the Mikado Cemetery. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
