Robert Barkley

Robert J. Barkley, 74, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Alpena. Born July 30, 1942 to Robert F. and Kathleen (Schloff) Barkley in Detroit, he was raised there. On June 11, 1960, he married Carolyn Northway in Detroit. They were residents of Taylor, and moved to Harrisville in 1979. Robert worked as a materials handler for Cooper Standard, and retired in 2009. He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Gregory) Dee; Betty (Tim) Barrons; and Debbie (Tony) Arcicovich, two sons, Robert (Heather) Barkley; and Matthew (Carrie) Barkley, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his dear friend, Geneiveve Klamert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn on March 23, 2010, his son, Edward on August 19, 2012, his sister, Carolyn Barkley, and his brother, James Barkley. Private services have been held.
