Ruth Ann Champagne

Ruth A. Champagne, 78, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at her home. She was born to Hector and Geneva (Little) McLaren on January 4, 1938 in Flint, MI. She was raised in Goodrich and Alcona County. Ruth married Charles Champagne on June 20, 1956 in Killmaster. Along with being a homemaker, she loved to sell Avon and Tupperware. She volunteered at ACCOA and the Alcona Humane Society, taught First Aid, and was a Girl Scout Leader. Ruth also loved to bowl. Ruth is survived by her husband, Charles, two daughters, Bambi Earl and Elizabeth Zepeda, two grandchildren, Shannon Earl and Tonya Zepeda, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hester Laird, Margaret Root, and Mildred Fowler. Funeral services will be held at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM. A memorial donation is suggested to the Alcona Humane Society. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
