Ronald E. Beitler

Ronald E. Beitler, 71, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born September 5, 1944 to Ernest and Kathleen (Palmer) Beitler in Detroit, he was raised there. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1967 until July 1969. He was a member of the American Legion Mikado Post #254, the Ossineke Eagles Aerie 3762, and of the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting. Ron is survived by two daughters, Donna Marie; and Sherry Lynn Beitler, two grandchildren, two sisters, Charlotte Smith; and Jean Widmayer, one brother, Michael Beitler, as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 12:00 PM, followed by military honors at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. A luncheon will follow.
