Gerald A Younk

Gerald A. Younk, 52, of Oscoda died on Sunday, June 5th at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago. He was born on November 7th, 1962 to Dale A. and Margaret A. (Gregg) Younk in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was raised mostly in Oscoda. On August 27th, 2011 he married Amada Dehmel and they were residents of Oscoda. He drove trucks for 26 years and most recently, worked as an inspector at Kalitta Air. Mr. Younk enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and flower gardening. He is survived by his wife, Amanda; six children Dale (Jenny Zacharias) Younk, Ryan (Missy) Younk, Randa (Nick) Goodrow, Christopher Dehmel, Nicholas Dehmel, and Marissa Prince; five brothers Edward (Beth) Younk, Michael Younk, Robert (Debbie) Younk, Mark (Elizabeth) Younk, and Paul (Linda) Younk; and one sister, Margaret Younk. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral will be held at Fresh Start Fellowship 4171 Forest St. in Oscoda on Saturday, June 11th at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin 11:00. Rev. Jason Livvix will officiate. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
