Susan Hoffman

Susan Hoffman, 65, passed away June 2, 2016 after a short illness. Susan was born in 1951 in Detroit, to Father Eugene and Mother Dorothy (Smith) Neeman. Sue spent most of her life in Greenbush and retired from Alcona and Midland County Road Commissions as the Clerk to the Board. She loved cooking, and was a member of the American Legion Post #254 Auxiliary as secretary and finance officer. Susan also loved golf, gardening, hunting, oil paints and touring camp on her golf cart. She is survived by her best friend and husband, Jim Hoffman; three step children, Brad (Becky) Hoffman; Brian (Shiela) Hoffman and Michelle (Joel) Leavens, seven wonderful grandchildren, one brother David (Mary) Ingalls and one sister, Jan (Pat) Leary. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her step father, William Ingalls. All donations on behalf of Susan will be given to the American Legion Post #254 Mikado and will be earmarked for the Backpack for Kids at Alcona Elementary School. A memorial service will be held June 25th at the Mikado American Legion from 11:45 till 4:00 PM. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
