John Robert Terry

John Robert Terry, 73, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016. Born August 14, 1942 to John A. and Beatrice M. (Thibodeau) Terry in Detroit, he was raised there. John served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and the Cuban Missle Crisis. He retired from Budd Wheel in Detroit, and moved to Harrisville in 2003. John was a dual member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie #4141, and of the Ossineke Eagles Aerie #3762, where he was past president. He was a member of the American Legion Mikado Post #254, and of the Alpena Moose. He loved playing euchre. He is survived by four children, Kim Jakubiec; Janet DiMichele; John Howard Terry; and Brenda Bacheller, several grandchildren, one sister, Mary (Bruce) Dick, and his dear friend Jenny Hartman. There will be a memorial luncheon at the Barton City Eagles Club on Sunday, May 22, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
