Florence Virginia Manning

Florence Virginia Manning, 82, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Born April 26, 1933, to George and Bessie (Nevins) Loyer in Mikado, MI, she was a lifelong resident of the area. On August 22, 1953, she married Kenneth Jay Manning. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1986. Mrs. Manning operated and managed the family sand and gravel and tool and die businesses. She was an avid supporter of snowmobile racing, and enjoyed travelling. Mrs. Manning is survived by two daughters, Sandra Dubie; and Lora Manning, three sons, Kenneth G. Manning; Warren Manning; and Rex (Sherry) Manning, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Jennie Anderson; and Edith Bobick, and one brother, George L. (Merry Lou) Loyer. There will be a service for Mrs. Manning in late April. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
