Eugene P. Mahalak

Eugene P. Mahalak, 54, of Harrisville, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born June 29, 1961 to Eugene and Frances (Grzeskowiak) Mahalak in Harrisville, MI, he was a lifelong resident of Northern Michigan. He was a proud graduate of Pied Piper Opportunity Center in Alpena. Eugene enjoyed the out of doors, especially the water, and swimming. He also enjoyed music, singing, and playing the piano, as well as bowling. He is survived by his mother, Frances, three brothers, Steven Mahalak, William (Elke) Mahalak, and Phillip Mahalak, three nieces, and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene in 2011, and one niece. Visitation was held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
