Janet Rice

Janet Rice, 83, of Harrisville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born December 27, 1931 to John and Edith (Cummings) Kell in Harrisville, she was raised there. On January 10, 1949, she married John Rice. They were longtime residents of West Bloomfield. John preceded her in death on January 8, 1997. Janet moved to Harrisville in 2000, where she was known as a social butterfly. Janet is survived by four children, Rebecca Boley, Kell Rice, Kim Rice, and Edie Kems, nine grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and one brother, John Kell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Hansen. There will be a memorial service Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Harrisville.
