Robert E. Mead

Robert E. Mead, 77, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his home. Born October 7, 1936, to Benjamin and Carrie Etta (Nieman) Mead in Lincoln, where he was a resident for most of his life. Bob served in the U.S. Army, and worked selling furniture. On October 15, 1960, he married Eleanor Hartwig in Lincoln . He was a member of the Lincoln Lions, and enjoyed collecting antiques and fishing equipment. Bob is survived by his daughter Michele (David) Schneider of Flower Mound, TX, three grandchildren, Kari, Gregory, and Douglas Schneider, and one sister, Nancy Thompson of Alaska. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor on August 8, 2015. There will be a graveside service Friday, September 25, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Twin Lakes Cemetery in Lincoln. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donation suggested to Lincoln Lions, Scholarship Fund.
