Ethel A. Waelchli

Ethel A. Waelchli, 88, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born February 18, 1927 to Earl and Josephine (Reynolds) Newton in Roseville, she was raised in the Detroit area. She was employed by Jim Robbins Seatbelt Company as an assembler. On March 6, 1949, she married Robert B. Riso in Detroit. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1970. On February 14, 1973, she married Daniel Waelchli in Detroit. In 1975 they moved to Harrisville. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2010. Ethel was devoted to her family, and loved taking care of them. Ethel is survived by her daughter, Patricia (John) Larsen of Menominee, her son, Robert (Sharon) Riso of Harrisville, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Brown and Earl Newton. There will be a memorial service Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Family Heritage Baptist Church in Harrisville.
