Lewis H. Butler

Lewis H. Butler, 93, of Harrisville passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at Jamieson Nursing Home. He was born October 9, 1921 in Rochester to Lewis R. & Mary (Priddy) Butler. He was raised in Lake Orion, lived in Pontiac for many years. He married Hilda Teeple there on May 22, 1942. Mr. Butler was in the Army Air Corps during WWII. In 1958 they moved to Waterford and moved to Harrisville in 1991. Mrs. Butler preceded her husband in death on November 26, 1999. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Harrisville and a member of the Harrisville Lion’s Club. Lewis Butler is survived by two daughters; Diana (Tony) Zografos and Barbara Butler, both of Harrisville, a son, James Butler of Harrisville, seven grandchildren; James, David and Adam Butler, Amy and Scott Farris, Mike Zogafos, and Janet (Jim) Barnes; two great grandchildren; Isabella and Jacob Medina, and a sister Pat Gusman of Waterford. A memorial service will announced at a later date. Arrangements for Mr. Butler’s cremation were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Interment will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
