Jean Elizabeth Hegedus

On the evening of Dec. 12, 2014, Jean Elizabeth Hegedus passed away at Munson Medical Center. She was 89 years old. Jean was born in Detroit, Michigan at 3:05 p.m. on Dec. 4, 1925. She was the first of three children and the only daughter of Mary (Zager) and Louis Albert. She was raised in Melvindale, Michigan, where she continued to live and raise her family after her marriage to Theodore (Ted) Hegedus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, her parents, Mary and Louis Albert and her brother Jim Albert. Jean is survived by her son, James (Donna) Hegedus and two daughters, Sandra (Albert) Luna and Jill (Robert) Coen, and her brother Louis (Pat) Albert. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jean was currently a resident at Hope Village, Williamsburg, Michigan. A special thanks goes to all the staff and residents that made her feel welcomed and comfortable in her new home. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at Gillies Funeral Home in Harrisville, Michigan, where Jean was formerly a resident and where her husband, Ted is buried.
