Vivian Z. Potvin

Vivian Z. Potvin, 95, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at her home. Born April 10, 1919, to Jennings and Gertrude (Beaton) Johnson in Detroit, she was resident of Alcona County most of her life. On June 24, 1939, she married Ernest Potvin. A devoted homemaker, Vivian also helped with the farming. She was a hardworking, loving, caring person. Vivian loved reading, bird watching, and gardening, especially flowers. Ernest preceded her in death on December 19, 2002. Vivian is survived by two grandsons, Kyle and Bryan Potvin, and her dear friend Monica Klein. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Robert on November 16, 2002, and Terry on November 8, 2012, and by her brother, Bernard Johnson. Mrs. Potvin is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Wednesday, September 10, from 2 until 6 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 11, at 2:00 PM.
