Rev. Tracy L. Brooks

Rev. Tracy L. Brooks, age 54, of Mio passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Alpena Regional Medical Center.  He was born May 21, 1959 in Bay City to Rev. Lawrence and Nancy (LaBerge) Brooks.  He graduated from Bullock Creek High School of Midland then served in the US Navy.  Tracy was a truck driver and mechanic before becoming a United Methodist Pastor in 1998.  He served parishes in Grand Marais, Germfask and McMillan Michigan before serving in Gordonville.  In 2007 he moved to Harrisville where he served the United Methodist Churches of Harrisville, Lincoln and Glennie, moving to the Mio Church in 2012. Tracy is survived by his wife, Kimberly Armstrong-Brooks, his mother Nancy Brooks of Bay City, two daughters, Kristina and Kayla Brooks both of Columbus, OH, one son Joshua Brooks of Columbus, OH, two stepsons, Zachery(Stephanie) Marlow of Fairfield OH and Benjamin (Rachel) Marlow of Merrill MI,six grandchildren, Mathew and William Garduno, Owen, Grant, Mason and Aiden Marlow, one sister, Rev. Susanne (Craig) Hierholzer of St Ignace MI and one brother, Philip (Melissa) Brooks of FT. Knox KY and several nieces and nephews. Tracy’s family will receive visitors from 1:00 P.M. on Monday, April 28, 2014 until the memorial services at 3:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.  Memorial contributions to the Alpena Cancer Center or Hospice of Michigan.
