Donald Roy Milligan

  Donald R. Milligan, age 77, of Hubbard Lake died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at home. He was born April 1, 1936 in Lincoln to Sidney and Irene (Jobin) Milligan.  Raised in Lincoln he moved to Wayne and later to Westland.  On February 4, 1956 he married Vern Rutledge.  Don was a truck driver for the Kroger Company for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 337.In 1995 he retired, moving to Hubbard Lake from Westland. He is survived by his wife, Vern and one daughter, Cathy (David) Staley of Westland, two sons, Tom (Sharon) Milligan of Allen Park and Don (Michele) Milligan Jr. of Westland, three grandchildren, Christy (Jamie Bush) McGlynn, Andrew (Kristen) and Matthew Milligan, three great grandchildren, Jacob and Shelby McGlynn and Collin Milligan, three sisters, Leona (Mark) Maxwell of Henderson NC, Rosalie (Wendell) Stafford of Wayne MI and Marion Dean Of Columbus, OH, three brothers, John (Jeannie) Milligan of Wisconsin, Dennis (Cyndi) Milligan of Clinton and Paul (Sylvia) Milligan of Kalkaska. Two sisters, Vida Harrison and Angela Woods preceded him in death. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
