Eugene N. Mishler, 84, of Lincoln (LLWC), passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Born June 18, 1929 to Franklin and Lillian (Rhoades) Mishler in Flint, he was raised there. He served in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged in 1952. On June 26, 1954, he married Florence Tunk. Eugene attended General Motors Institute, and was employed by Fisher Body. After retirement in 1983, he moved to Lost Lake Woods Club, where he was able to enjoy the wildlife from his front porch. Eugene enjoyed golf, an interest that began as a teenager, when he would caddy at the Flint Country Club. He also loved ice fishing. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado. He is survived by his wife, Florence, daughter, Cheryl Clark of MA, two sons, Thomas Mishler of Lapeer, and Gary (Robin) Mishler of Howell, five grandchildren, Kimberly Verecchia of NH; James Clark of MA; and Wesley, Nicholas, and Justin Mishler of Howell, two great grandsons, Adam and Luke Verecchia, and one brother, Robert (Caroline) Richardson of Port Sanilac. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Mishler. Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. Rev. Bob Bissot will officiate. Eugene’s ashes will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
