Mildred "Jan" Janet Anderson

Mildred Janet “Jan” Anderson, 75, of Glennie, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at her home. Born October 31, 1937 to Milo and Vivian (Snellgrove) Barclay in Pontiac, she was raised in Hadley. She married James R. Anderson on September 23, 1954. They were residents of Clio, moving to Glennie in the early 1985. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1995. Jan was a member of the Glennie United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, and loved the out of doors, especially bird watching, hunting, fishing and camping. She was an excellent cook, and had a beautiful garden. She is survived by one daughter, Debra (Jesse) Leatherman of Gaylord, one son, Dale (Stephanie) Anderson of Glennie, 3 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, three brothers, and her beloved canine companion, Katie. She was preceded in death by one sister. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. A private memorial service will be held.
