Walter Charles Brandt, Jr.

Walter Charles Brandt, Jr., 54, of Greenbush died Friday, March 29, 2013 at home. He was born October 25, 1958 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Walter Charles and Donna Marie (Brown) Brandt. He was raised in Harrisville, graduating from Alcona High School in 1977. On June 21, 1991 he married Theresa White. They have been residents of Greenbush since 2006. Walter was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Harrisville. He was employed in the Brandt family business for many years. He was active in the farm markets in Harrisville, Oscoda and Tawas and was a licensed charter captain. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, one daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Halvorson, his parents, Walter and Donna Brandt Sr., three brothers, Mike(Deborah), Douglas (Betty Jane) and Daniel(Tammy) Brandt, two grandsons, Kurt and Alex Halvorson, a step daughter, Honey Lee Buhlman, three step granddaughters, Chelsy Leonard, Nikkia Rau, Chelby Stormie-Linn Powers and two step grandsons, Carlos Rummer and Paul Weazer and two nieces and three nephews. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 13, 2013, 1:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. His family will begin receiving visitors at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Dennis Neigh will officiate.
