He is survived by his mother Ruth (Harry) Rice; sister Susan (Howard) Peston; stepfamily Susan (Bernie) Greenberg, Daniel (Delynn) Rice, John (Anne) Rice, Thomas Rice, David Rice; and several nieces and nephews.
